Hope Risen: Anti-Human Trafficking Awareness Workshop

This workshop will give you an in-depth training to equip and empower you to help put an end to Human Trafficking by identifying the various forms of Human Trafficking, Red Flags and the practical steps you can take to report a potential human Trafficking situation.

This is a half-day workshop which will address the following:

• Definitions of Human Trafficking (what it is and what it’s not)
• Types of Human Trafficking
• How it happens and who is involved
• Red flags that indicate possible trafficking cases
• Survivor stories
• The trafficking situation in South Africa
• What’s being done and what still needs to be done
• How to protect yourself and your family, and other ways to get involved

Fierce Hearts: Understanding the Harmful Effects of Pornography

This workshop will give you an in-depth understanding of the Pornography Industry, how porn harms the mind, relationships and fuels the demand for various forms of Sexual Exploitation. We will also discuss the addictive cycle, practical steps to overcome the cycle as well as tools and tips for parents when addressing this topic with children and teens. We advocate for real and lasting love as an antidote to pornography, and aim to create an environment that is safe and supportive for anyone who is struggling in this area

This is a half-day workshop which will address the following:

• An introduction to the pornography culture
• The global impact the pornography industry has
• The future of the sex industry
• How pornography plays a role in fueling sexual exploitation
• The harmful effects that porn has on the brain
• How porn affects our relationships
• Steps to take to break the cycle
• How to respond as parents/guardians/caretakers

Protective Behaviours Training:

This is a more extended programme designed to protect children and teens from becoming victims of sexual exploitation. The training equips them on how to identify their early warning signs when they feel unsafe, making use of practical steps that educate children on what a safe situation is and what an unsafe situation is, and the steps they can take to get the right help when they feeling unsafe.
